Hypophysitis describes inflammatory pituitary lesions which can be classified into lymphocytic (autoimmune), granulomatous or xanthomatous. Rathke’s cleft cysts (RCC) are usually assymptomatic, benign tumours derived from remnants of Rathke’s pouch.
